So if you read PKB then you know I’ve been hyped about this whole Marant x H&M line dropping in 8 days. Today I logged on and looked around and didn’t really see what the excitement was about, now for me not to be excited is a let down because out of all the collabs H&M has done this was the one I was the most excited about. Truth be told I probably won’t hit the city I’ll just wait until areas who don’t really want to pay booku money at H&M put Marant on sale. Like Roosevelt Field I bought the 2 Margiela dresses at 10 bucks each about a month after they dropped and they were both originally 200. Below are a few of the pieces I did like (via Vogue) but even with those they were nothing super different or exciting they look like they belong in H&M just at a jacked up price point. *Shrugs* so much for that birthday list! Wait I will say I do LOVE the smile sweater with the fuzzy dot over the but don’t believe it’s worth the price unless it’s a cashmere sweater.
Store: unique Thrift Shop Jamaica Ave

If you follow me on Instagram then you’ve already seen this pic! I received a ton of compliments, questions and comments on this dress so I figured it would be wonderful to as my comeback for Thrifty Thursday (yes you guys get 2 today) lol!
This is a Kasper Silk Dress
I bought this dress from Housing Works on Chambers & Canal I also copped a silk crop sweatshirt that day that I LOVE! Anywhoo I strolled into Housing Works one day while random thrift store hopping this summer and couldn’t even fit the dress when I first bought it in July. This dress was only 15 beans my most expensive Thrifty Thursday Find to date! Funny thing is The next Thrifty Thursday also include Blue & Black lol! I loved Housing Works it was small and intimate but the staff was great and they have a great cause “Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.” Plus you can shop online as well! I will be returning soon!
Sorry for the title………I’m a Harlem girl I had too lol. Anyhoooo Yasssssss! This is it (plus my motions deep conditioning masque & definer) I use these products faithfully. I mean I almost cried walking through Brooklyn not being able to find it *sighs* the love is that real. I found these products in Family Dollar a long while ago but was sketchy because they were in Family Dollar and I never heard of them but then in June I actually opened a jar of it up in the store and smelled it and I mean it’s been LOVE ever since. In Family Dollar these are 5 dollars each and they lasted about 2 months in my house for me and my daughter (It keeps your hair that moisturized)! My normal routine for mini me and I included co washing with cream of nature Argon Oil intensive deep conditioning treatment & Motions Deep Conditioning Masque. Next I put some detangler on our heads once they are dry then place 2 quarters worth of the Curl La La mixed with the conditioner then continue to style or two strand twist. The outcome was Unbelievable! I am hooked!

Long Story Short i got to meet my favorite Basketball Wife Cast Member Tami Roman!
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a diary entry and it was up until Saturday that I remembered why. Man listen for the first time in 8 months I allowed a guy to kiss me. I mean don’t get me wrong it wasn’t one of those long drawn out foot in air fairy tale kisses but it was a cute un~suspecting first on the cheek then on the neck then a good-bye kiss on the cheek again. While to some this may be a small gesture to me it’s a big deal Continue reading
It took everything in me to leave this Tahari dress in the store it was 14.99 but since it was a red tag it was half off for 7.49 but it was one size two small and the wide belt didn’t fit a part of me wants to go back get it and rock it with some distressed denins and a tank with a thin belt *sigh* By far my favorite Thrifty Thursday find of the week so sad I had to leave it!
So I know I’m behind with this post and this racist slurs mess is so last week, but I just had to put my two cents in on this. When I first heard of Paula Deen and the racist slurs accusations, I thought to myself not you Paula not one of my faves on the Food Network not the Caucasian soul food cook who has earned her “black card” in our community. I literally just couldn’t believe it. I mean I could believe it because she is a Caucasian in her sixties from a very race conscious community by why risk your brand and fan base like that? After reading many blogs and reports I was disgusted mainly by the Huffington Post where Deen said she often make racial jokes and can’t control it doesn’t know who is offended by it O_o seriously Paula get ya life together. On the flip side I believe people in general make racist comments on a regular basis and believe it’s fine. I hope this is a lesson to all on how your words can destroy you.
It was not my intention to go thrifting today but my bladder and a little fate said otherwise. I was in Jamaica avenue about tonnage a severe accident when I ran into what use to be Gertz Mall and used their lower level restroom. Once out I figure I let me just go in and look being that I keep hearing about Unique a thrift store popping up everywhere throughout NY it seems. Continue reading
For the past 3 or 4 months I have been hearing about this event called Paint & Poetry. The title alone intrigued me but for some reason it always fell on the night of another event I had or I had to work but this past weekend I finally had a chance to make and let me just say I plan on being out of work early enough each time Paint
Recently I read Angel’s Laws Of Blogging by Angel Law the founder of one of todays most notorious blogs Concrete Loop. I remember the first time I heard the phrase Concrete Loop it was in a song that Jermaine “JD” Dupri was featured on and I never remembered the song but I always remembered him saying “You tryna have my picture on Concrete Loop” I always though it was catchy but never knew what Concrete Loop was. Then in 2011 I actually had the honor of running into Angel in the restroom of the Altman Building during Kaboodle 5th Anniversary Event, even then I still didn’t know who she was or what she did but at that very moment I knew she had to be a “somebody” or a big deal because she was walking in the show. I say all that to say this in reading her book the vibe I got in that bathroom is the same vibe she gives in the book. She knows who she is and that is enough she was not snobby or “bougie” she was actually very kind warm and welcoming. Angel’s book is one of the best books on blogging I have read to date. Not only does she tell you what was a hit for her but she also gives you an almost dummy proof way to jump start your blog. I love that Angel did not live in New York and in the beginning stages of Concrete Loop she didn’t go to many if any events yet she was always in the know. Heck I live in New York and can barely keep up here she was in this little hole of a wall town and had the head up on all her competition and tapped into a market of people just like her who had the same wants and longings as she did. Another thing I loved about her stories is no matter how much people told her off or may have wanted things about her to change she remained true to herself except for one tiny dress incident that I will let you read the book to find out about. If you plan on being serious about blogging and making it a career or shoot even if you want a good following on your blog to lead to other career paths this is definitely a book you want to pick up guys!
About 5 years ago me and my daughter were going through SOHO having a mommy and me day and we came across a store that I always tried to avoid because of the many smells it had going on which gave me a headache. Now fast forward and there is not a mommy & me day that doesn’t go by with us picking something up. I am a fan favorite of the fresh face mask be careful where you go, these bad boys are hot sellers many times in Roosevelt Field Mall’s Lush there is a waiting list just to buy them (I don’t run into this problem in the city often) I myself use Cupcake a cocoa & spearmint blend that leaves my skin so radiant and soft . What I love about lush is they an organic handmade products made by their team. Don’t believe me? Look on your products once you buy them not only that go online and see actual associates making products. My daughter loves FUN it’s clay, soap a bubble bar and coloring fun my daughter loves it and actually loves baths more because of it! Stop in your local Lush and become a Lushhead! I myself can’t wit to try the henna hair dye (which they will do in store for you for free if you buy the bar there an appointment is needed at most shops) a blog is sure to come following that!
In a perfect world all young ladies who grew up in church would finish school at the top of their classes. Live with their parents until some strapping young man came and courted them eventually sweeping them out of their parent’s household because this same young man would propose to her. These young woman would be virgins with no “records” or “past dealings” and the men who would take their hands in marriage who have finished school ad have decent jobs they loved and be active in the church because as my pastor would say “A man not rooted in God has no covering. How can he cover you and he’s not covered?”. Well too bad this isn’t a perfect world and there is no such thing as a fairy tale in Christ. Continue reading
A War, Kids Dying Daily, Metrocard Prices Rising But You Wanna Talk About Gay Marriage? Oh Ok Let’s Talk. So gay marriage has been an ever growing hot topic over the past few years especially because many states have now mad it legal to get married as a same-sex couple(Connecticut, Iowa,Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Washington—as well as the District of Columbia and three Native American tribes). Yet in the past view week same-sex marriage had been dang on near impossible to overlook. Now I’m not saying I purposely avoid the conversation on gay marriage because I don’t but it just usually never comes up in my circle. Do I know gays, lesbian, in the closets or bisexual’s YES I do and if truth was to be told a lot of you Holier than thou folks not only know them but you are them. Yea I said it! Continue reading
I am sure many of you by now have seen the very talked about Lifetime reality series ” Preacher’s Daughter’. The reason I know this is because all along my Instagram,Twitter Facebook & blogroll there has been nothing but criticism, complaints and disgusts for this show. Yet some how I have no problem with the show. Do I have issues with how some of the young ladies portray themselves? Of course but not simply because they are church girls but because they are supposed to be just that YOUNG LADIES! It shocked me as to how judgmental folks could be especially the so-called “saints”. Now don’t get me wrong I myself had some not so kind words myself especially for that Taylor but I will get into that a little later. Continue reading
In previous writing’s I have said stated a ton of reasons I am single. One of the main reason being “getting myself together” Organization is one of the BIGGEST reasons. The fact that this blog has sat in my draft box going on almost 2 months is a clear reason as to why I just Gotsta Do Betta! (country preacher man’s voice). The fact that I am designing tee shirts making texas toast and my mind is all over the place is clearly a sign that I need to bring my mind in and get my life! Continue reading
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. – Malachi 3:10 Continue reading
Could you imagine what would happen if Queen Ester was to insecure and or didn’t have the Godly Confidence where Jews would be at today? O Ok!
So I really didn’t want to touch this topic and I know my title is a little overboard it seems like this year has been the year where I felt like Hoe, Harlot, Skank , Hussy & Home-wrecker just had to be stamped on my forehead. Until last night something in me just fully snapped that and a good ole conversation with my sister aka my personal relationship expert lol Josephina Jericho. Continue reading
So I’m brushing out my hair and my 7-year-old is brushing her teeth it is officially 5 days after the election. Barack Obama has been declared the president for another 4 years. Whoo Hoo! The hood girl in me wanted to running around bumping my President is black all the while the professional mother career woman and just grown-up in me was just excited anyone but Romney was in office not because of race but because I truly don’t believe he was the correct presidential candidate for me. Ok back to my story so we are getting ourselves together and some how our conversation got on the President. Up until this very moment I just believed my child A like Barack Obama because he was a black man but also because she was a little upset about the whole Mitt Romney firing Big Bird Joke.( lol) Yet when the subject came up this particular Sunday morning my daughter blurts out “Yeah mommy we voted for Barack Obama because he is black right?” Continue reading
Well it’s been 6 months 2 weeks and a couple of days free of the D *hood voice*. Excuse me if I may seem vulgar or common but I sat in my room the other day just thinking about how this time 6 months ago I was entangled in a two-day escapade doing everything God wasn’t in with a guy who was “just a friend”. Thinking how for three years until about a year ago (when I met a new friend) no matter what life through way I knew making a trip to Queensbridge to see yet another “friend” would fix everything or at least momentarily. You see sex was way more than a physical pleasure of two body parts for me but it was a rush a high a true addiction there was NOTHING sex could not fix. Continue reading

Has Anyone ever asked you why your single? There was a point and time I hated that question. Like what huh, how on earth do I know why I’m single ? I’m a beautiful, loving, individual. I live on my own I cook, I clean, I go to church etc. You know I possess all the qualities of a young lady who can be in a great relationship. Then one day on the phone with one of my sisters it hit me I’ve never really been single. She pointed out that one way or another there is always some “friend” in my life who happens to be a male fulfill almost all the vacancies a boyfriend would fill. Continue reading

So I am a fan of the Braxtons as well as Tamar & Vince, but Tamar needs to take a whole stadium of seats as her husband would say. In the latest episode of Tamar & Vince we see that Tamar gives burth (aww so sweet yes I know), then she begins to hit the road to get home and shoot for her video shoot. Now like any other post-pardom weight she has put on some weight unfortunately for Tamar she likes to eat so she went from a small 2/4 – a xl 14 while there is nothing from with this or the fact that Tamar wants to get back down to that size but clowning “thick” or as she says “fat” girls is NOT the move especially because you have a sister & a fan base full of them. It would have been one thing for her to say I can’t be this size snatched but she said You can’t be snatched at a size 14. Uhmmmmmm Tamar get your life some plus sized beauties are way more snatched than your average skinny mini…………………………I’m Just Saying
